Job Description
Production Planning
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans
- Allocate resources (manpower, machines, materials) based on production schedules
- Optimize production sequences to minimize downtime
Inventory & Material Management
- Coordinate with purchase department for raw material procurement
- Maintain minimum stock levels and avoid material shortages
- Track material usage and wastage
Monitoring & Control
- Track work orders and ensure timely completion
- Identify production delays and coordinate solutions
- Monitor machine utilization and efficiency
Coordination & Reporting
- Liaise between production, quality control, and dispatch teams
- Prepare MIS reports on production status, delivery timelines, and bottlenecks
- Assist management in capacity planning and forecasting
Process Improvement
- Suggest improvements in production flow and resource allocation
- Implement lean manufacturing principles where applicable
