At Barry Rutenberg and Associates, Inc., a locally owned AR Homes franchise, we're building some of Gainesville's most exclusive custom homes, and we're looking for a Construction Manager/Superintendent who can take pride in every detail, lead with integrity, and thrive in a tight-knit, respectful team environment.

As a third-generation homebuilding company and proud AR Homes franchise, we combine national resources with the heart of a local business. Our owner and licensed contractor leads a team of eight professionals who treat every project and each other with care. With over a decade of experience serving high-end, highly discerning clients, we build 10 to 12 fully custom luxury homes per year throughout Alachua County.

You'll need to juggle client expectations, job site management, and project timelines, all while representing our company's values of honesty, respect, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations on active job sites
  • Coordinate with estimating, project management, and design staff
  • Manage subcontractors, schedules, materials, and inspections
  • Maintain job site cleanliness and safety
  • Serve as the face of the company to homeowners and vendors
  • Ensure all work meets AR Homes' standards of excellence

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of residential construction experience (not commercial)
  • Must own a reliable truck suitable for transporting materials and tools
  • Adaptable, collaborative, and comfortable in a small, high-functioning team
  • Strong communication skills with both homeowners and colleagues
  • Must align with a core culture of honesty and integrity
  • Comfortable working with and taking direction from a female business owner
  • Must maintain a professional presence on-site, including avoiding smoking in client homes or during customer interactions.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Full time position
  • Competitive salary at $70,000 to $80,000+ per year, depending on experience
  • Performance bonuses based on project completions
  • Monthly truck allowance
  • Paid vacation and holidays
  • Please note: No health or retirement benefits are provided at this time
