Monarch NC, a provider of high-quality and trauma-informed care for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness and substance use disorders, is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Specialist to join our team in Concord, NC.
***There is a $1,000 sign on bonus for this position!***
Work Schedule:
***Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday: 4 PM - 10 PM
***Thursday: 8 AM - 10 PM
As a Behavioral Specialist, you will support the people we serve in achieving their personal dreams and goals. You will assess each person receiving services for their hopes, dreams, and desires and provide supports that facilitate achievement, assist them in participating fully in their community consistent with the person's interests, and provide support as needed to meet their emotional, physical, and social needs. You will also facilitate access to community resources, including locating recreational activities, housing, food, clothing, school programs, vocational opportunities or services providers to teach life skills, and relevant mental health, developmental disabilities and substance abuse services.
To qualify, candidates must have the following:
***A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
***At least 1 year of experience working with children or adults with a mental health diagnosis, an intellectual/developmental disability., or substance use disorder is preferred.
***A valid Driver's License and auto insurance is also required.
