The Architect 2 role will lead architectural project design through all phases and work alongside the project team to successfully complete assigned projects.Fully competent architect in all conventional aspects of architecture.Ability to lead and delegate architectural design work to a team of 3-6 CAD designers.Independently performs a variety of assignments requiring skills in all conventional aspects of architectural designs for projects of moderate size and complexity.Performs analyses of design, planning and occupancy studies, and limited design layouts.Prepares project specifications, compiling and analyzing relevant data. 6. Writes reports and specifications.Reviews completed reports, plans, estimates, and calculations.Works closely with the CAD Designer / Project Manager to execute project plans.Coordinates with CAD Designer / Project Manager to directly supervise the teams' design and technical delivery.Directly reviews and coordinates between consultant drawings and architectural drawings.Directly coordinates with construction team to execute solutions to site/field issues.Architect of Record for projects performed by the Design Team.QualificationsBachelor of Architecture (NAAB accredited school preferred) or Masters of Architecture (NAAB accredited school preferred)Completed Architectural Licensure by Architect Registration Examination (ARE) in at least one state.Minimum six or more years of professional experience and certification as a licensed professionalAdvanced working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and Adobe suite of productsWorking knowledge in Architectural design and detailing skills.Working knowledge in Consultant and Vendor Coordination to aid in preparation of Construction DocumentsWorking knowledge of Building and Fire Codes, as well as Federal Laws to include ADA requirements (this includes all codes applicable to building design)Working knowledge of Construction Documents, AIA Contracts, Specifications and procedures to required to complete these documents.Working knowledge of building systems, including Structural, Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, Communication and Fire Alarm and Monitoring systems.
